How do you think my customizing all got started. I wanted to remove the rear seat. What's this? A regulator? Had to move that. Rewired it under the bike frame. What are all these holes? Well let's talk to the body shop. Since I was having body work done, the rear fender needed to be repainted. For another $300 I can have the whole bike painted? Cool. I can pick my color? I need new fender rails. You know, drag bars would really look good with that. The fender would look cleaner if we put the brake light under the fender. Smaller blinkers would look good. Boy those stock mirrors don't look so hot. Teardrop mirrors would look good. With those new blinkers, a new headlight would look nice. Chrome rear pulley cover and chrome front hub would really look nice, and Rick is selling some.
CAUTION. DO NOT REMOVE REAR SEAT UNLESS FINANCIALLY PREPARED TO CONTINUE.
It's like a drug. You start justifying how you can buy chrome but can't afford to eat. Things start to disappear and your spouse/SO finds them at the pawn shop. It just never stops!
